Spanish boat builder De Antonio Yachts has announced the development of a new cabin version of its successful D36 series. The D36 Cabin retains the sporty walkaround concept of the original, but offers more protection in demanding weather conditions thanks to a fully enclosed cabin.

Closed cabin with flexible opening options

The new version has a fully enclosed cabin in the centre of the main deck. This is where the helm stations, a U-shaped passenger couch and a fully equipped galley module are located. The cabin is surrounded by a glass structure with sliding side doors and an accordion-style opening at the rear.

The roof is available in three variants: as a fixed panoramic glass roof, as a partially opening glass roof or with a fully electrically opening fabric roof. An optional climate control system provides additional comfort in extreme temperatures.

Interior of the new De Antonio

Despite the compact dimensions of a day cruiser, the D36 Cabin surprises with its spacious interior. The central corridor leads to the forward master cabin with double bed and door for increased privacy, a fully equipped separate bathroom and a spacious aft cabin with single beds. The U-shaped seating area in the deckhouse can also be converted into another double bed, meaning that a total of six people can sleep on board.

The centrally positioned kitchen island offers two 49-litre fridges, ceramic hob or grill, microwave, extensive storage space and even the option of a practical retractable TV.

Hidden outboard motors for maximum deck space

The D36 Cabin utilises the patented hidden outboard engine concept that made De Antonio Yachts famous. This construction method allows for a spacious and comfortable bathing platform at the stern with an elegant design.

The boat is available with Mercury engine configurations ranging from two 350 hp (257 kW) to two 400 hp (294 kW). In combination with a stepped hull for improved planing characteristics, the D36 Cabin achieves an optimum cruising speed of around 27 knots (50 km/h) and a top speed of over 40 knots (74 km/h).

Versatile utilisation options

There is a generous storage space in the rear area, which can be used either for a small dinghy or as additional storage space with cool boxes with a capacity of up to 130 litres. Optional fishing rod holders, ski and wakeboard racks or poles on the hardtop extend the range of possible uses for various water sports activities.

Market launch and availability of the De Antonio D36 Cabin

The official presentation of the D36 Cabin was at the boot Düsseldorf 2026. The first test drives are scheduled to take place in summer 2026, followed by the European premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026 and the US premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2026. The first units will be available for sale in the second half of 2026. Prices have not yet been announced.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
