The young German drivers put in an impressive performance at the Formula Future World Championship, winning a total of four medals. With three gold and one silver, the German team dominated the competition and secured victory in the team classification. The young talents from Baden-Württemberg, Saxony-Anhalt and Berlin showed outstanding performances in their respective classes, confirming the strong position of German powerboat racing on the international stage. The drivers from Baden-Württemberg in particular were able to shine with two gold medals and made a significant contribution to the overall success.

Gold medals in classes 1 to 3

In Class 1, Tim Stiner from the Baden-Württemberg state association beat off the international competition to take the gold medal. The young up-and-coming rider left the athletes from the Czech Republic and Lithuania in second and third place behind him. The world championship title in class 2 also went to Germany: Armin Wiedemann from Saxony-Anhalt dominated the event and confidently secured the gold medal. The talented young rider, about whom ARD has published a worthwhile film in its media library, showed a consistently strong performance throughout the competition and confirmed his ability on the international stage.

Title defence and silver medal at the UIM Formula Future World Championship

The performance of Aik Finn Baumgärtner from Baden-Württemberg was particularly noteworthy. Last year's world champion in class 2, who was also nominated as youth athlete of the year by the UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique), proved his class once again and won the world championship title in the higher class 3 this year. This consistency at the highest level underlines the exceptional talent of the young motorboat driver. In Class 4, Jonas Polten from Berlin completed the German team's successful medal haul. With a strong performance, he secured the silver medal and thus made a decisive contribution to Germany's overall victory in the team classification.
