A few years ago, the Finnish shipyard Grandezza presented the 37, currently its largest model. With a length of 11.55 metres, it offers space for up to ten people and is aimed at owners who value well thought-out design, functionality and solid workmanship. Now the 37 is also available as an outboard version.

The layout on deck is characterised by clear lines and a functional design. The handrails are continuous and sufficiently high, which facilitates safe movement on board - typically Scandinavian. The electric bench seat in the stern can be moved back 50 centimetres at the touch of a button. This creates more space in the cockpit, especially when anchoring or in the harbour. Another feature is the electrically operated roof above the saloon and cockpit. It can be opened to let in daylight and fresh air. This facilitates ventilation and gives the interior an open feeling of space.

The saloon is compact but functionally equipped. The galley has a hob, sink and fridge. An L-shaped sofa with table offers seating for six people. Adjacent to this is the passenger area with a view to the front. There is space for two adults here. The helm station on the starboard side is equipped with a chart plotter and other controls. All relevant switches and displays are clearly arranged and easy to reach

Cabins and wet room

Two cabins are available below deck. The owner's cabin forward has a double bed. The second cabin aft is designed as a flexible guest cabin and can be equipped with a double or two single beds. The bathroom is separately accessible and equipped with an electric toilet, washbasin and separate shower cubicle with seat. The room layout below deck is functional and designed for longer stays on board.

Drive and equipment of the Grandezza 37 Outboard

The Grandezza 37 CA is offered with two Volvo Penta D4 diesel engines as standard - with a choice of 270 or 320 hp per engine. There is no definitive information yet on the engine configuration for the new outboard version. However, it can be assumed that two outboard engines with similar power will be used.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
