The Jeanneau Cap Camamarat 10.5 CC is suitable for many activities. With CE category B, it is also authorised for offshore areas.

Our test boat, the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC, is the largest model in the Centre Console (CC) series. It is well suited for fishing trips, relaxed swimming excursions, longer discovery tours and as a towing boat for wakeboarders etc. The Cap Camarat offers plenty of space for these activities, starting on the foredeck of the test boat with a large seat/lounger combination that can be covered with a sun canopy (extra). The same applies to the aft area of the cockpit. The biminis are attached to sturdy poles on one side and to the T-top at the opposite end. There is a galley under the roof, which is supplied with a sink, work surface and storage facilities as standard. The options list includes a gas hob, electric grill and refrigerator (in the Premiere package). To the aft is a cosy seating area and behind it the bathing platform with ladder. Another practical feature is the door in the side wall. When the door is open, a long bathing ladder can be folded out for easy entry and exit.

Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 CC is available with four bunks

But the Jeanneau with its four berths is also ideal for spending the night at anchor or in the marina. Access to the cabins is via the side deck on the port side, where a door is installed in front of the steering position and steps lead down below deck. Here, towards the bow, there is a seating unit that can be converted into a berth. If you look aft, you will see the entrance to the underfloor cabin, which is equipped with a large double berth. . Looking aft, you can see the entrance to the underfloor cabin, which is equipped with a large double berth. Opposite the entrance is the wet room, which has a washbasin in the entrance area and a toilet and shower next to it, separated behind a transparent partition with a door. Now to the driving position: it is equipped with a leaning post that can accommodate up to three people. The steering wheel is located in the centre, with the Yamaha gearstick and joystick system to the right. They all send their impulses electronically to the two Yamaha XTO 425hp V8s.

With joystick system

Thanks to the joystick system, the test Jeanneau can be safely moored and cast off, as well as slowly navigated through the harbour. A bow thruster and trim tabs (Premiere package) are on the accessories list. On the Mediterranean off Cannes, we push the levers forwards and the 10.5 CC glides effortlessly. We don't need the trim tabs installed, as they can be used to compensate for the effects of crosswinds. We make fast turns: the Jeanneau pulls round sportily, but always remains easy to control. The latter is also true on slalom courses and when the steering is torn. The sea is quite choppy in places, and here the hull shows balanced, safe behaviour at around 35 knots. If you want to travel economically, you can rev the two Yamaha engines to 3500 rpm and theoretically reach 175 nautical miles at 23.4 knots and a consumption of 3.88 litres per nautical mile before reaching the 15% reserve. A suitable value for this type of boat. At full throttle at 47 knots and a fuel consumption of 6.0 litres per nautical mile, the result is 113 nautical miles.

A Seakeeper is on the options list

In order to customise the boat, Yamaha follows the usual route with package and individual options. The latter include, for example, a sliding hatch in the T-top, air conditioning, generator or Seakeeper (SK2). Our test engine is no longer listed on Jeanneau's price list, which instead shows the Yamaha models XTO 400hp V8 and XTO 450hp V8. A look behind the scenes shows that the pipes under the driving position and in the storage compartments are firmly and neatly laid. The equipment with fuel filters and stopcocks as well as well-lashed batteries are also on the plus points list. The overall boat finish also receives praise

Conclusion

In the cockpit and on the foredeck, the Jeanneau offers plenty of space for open-air enjoyment. Below deck, four people can sleep comfortably. The Cap Camarat 10.5 CC is great fun to take out to sea and jump over the waves.
