The addition of the name is a statement: Marlin - that doesn't just sound like real big-game fishing; the robust version of the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 755, which is also still quite new, wants to go one better when it comes to functionality.
While the engine is still identical on both models with a 150 hp outboard, the differences are most obvious in the layout: the 7.40 m long Marlin has significantly more working space on the outside, with wider side decks for more surefootedness to the foredeck and a tidy cockpit.
Access to the compact wheelhouse is via sliding doors from both side decks, while large windows ensure good all-round visibility. The functional interior consists of a small table and two swivelling chairs for the driver and co-driver. Further details and the exact deck configuration depend on whether the buyer opts for the Marlin in the "Comfort" version or the (even more purist) "Fishing" version. However, the slip berth in the foredeck is always the same.
