The Jetten 37 AC-RS is a practically divided steel displacement boat for a crew of four. We sailed the boat on the Sneekermeer.

If you are travelling with your family, you can usually share a wet room area. If, on the other hand, two adult couples are travelling together, each would like to maintain their privacy and have a separate area and their own bathroom. A luxury that can be found on our 11 metre long test boat, the Jetten 37 AC-RS.

The forward cabin has a separate shower and toilet room (all headroom heights are just under 1.90 metres), as does the aft cabin. The same applies to the appropriately sized (1.50 x 2.00 m and 1.60 x 2.00 m) double berths in both cabins, which the shipyard has fitted with slatted frames under the comfortable cushions in exemplary fashion. Further plus points: There is plenty of stowage space in both areas.

Cooking and socialising takes place one floor up in the saloon with a free-standing wooden table, stool and seating area, which can easily be converted into another berth. Here, not only guests enjoy plenty of light and a view of the outside through the large windows, but also the cabin crew, who are "right in the middle of the action" in the saloon and don't have to eke out an existence in a remote corner on the "lower deck".

Ralf Marquard discovered his enthusiasm for boating on the tranquil Aller, first with inflatable boats and later with a 6-meter cabin cruiser. His electrical engineering studies at HAW Hamburg took him from the southern Heidekreis (Lower Saxony) to the Hanseatic city. Ralf Marquard has been working for the BOOTE editorial team since 1997, where he trained as a test editor. He tests both small inflatable boats and larger yachts. His personal boat is a 4.50 meter long, self-built wooden boat with a 50 hp outboard motor. In 2007, he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief at BOOTE.
