... who doesn't win, thought the traditional US boat builder - and is once again focussing on larger dimensions and classic shapes

It was a long time ago - 143 years to be exact - that Christopher Columbus Smith founded the Smith and Sons Boat Company, the forerunner of Chris Craft Boats - founded. After that, there were good times and bad. And more than one owner. The ups and downs have not affected the good reputation. Chris Craft was and is in a class of its own, even if it has literally had to bake small b(r)ötchen in recent years. The "small" open ones still exist, and since this year something big has also been added. Chris Craft dares to return to the club of cabin boat manufacturers with the Commander 42. The "entry ticket" is an evergreen, a classic lobster boat with state-of-the-art technology. Wheelhouse, cockpit and comfortable cabins (3) are obligatory, electronically controlled pod drives and equipment with air conditioning, generator and complete navigation package are standard.
