Conrad Pischel has been self-employed for eight years and builds RIBs ranging from small 2.30 metre yacht tenders to almost 11 metre long "luxury liners". On our test boat, the MV 570, he particularly emphasises the use of space. Its interior space corresponds to that of a classic 6.10 m long inflatable boat. This is largely due to the shortened inflatable cones.

Plenty of space in the interior means plenty of room to feel good. "Sun nymphs" can settle down on the firmly upholstered, huge front sunbathing area. If there is not enough space for the entire crew, simply fold down the backrest of the driver's bench to create another sunbathing area in no time at all. To cool off when it's too hot and so that bathers don't miss out, there is a shower and folding pull-up bathing ladder at the rear. The latter can be used to get back into the boat safely. Exemplary: the ladder can also be easily operated from the water.

The surfaces next to the outboard motor, on the upper sides of the GRP deck mould, under the cushions and on the cockpit floor have effective anti-slip structures. Together with the large number of sturdy rubber grips and the non-slip tube structures, this results in a high degree of manoeuvrability.

Deputy Editor in Chief BOOTE

Ralf Marquard discovered his enthusiasm for boating on the tranquil Aller, first with inflatable boats and later with a 6-meter cabin cruiser. His electrical engineering studies at HAW Hamburg took him from the southern Heidekreis (Lower Saxony) to the Hanseatic city. Ralf Marquard has been working for the BOOTE editorial team since 1997, where he trained as a test editor. He tests both small inflatable boats and larger yachts. His personal boat is a 4.50 meter long, self-built wooden boat with a 50 hp outboard motor. In 2007, he was appointed deputy editor-in-chief at BOOTE.
