Premieres and projects: Bluegame BG54 - Successful self-discoveryPhoto: Werft
The Bluegame BG54 has been searching for itself for a long time and has only now found itself. A first impression of the new 17-metre boat.

What is it like when a boat speaks to you? Just listen to it: "With me, Bluegame is once again thinking outside the box and redefining the space concept of a 54. With me, space and the feeling of space play the main role, without compromise. With me, you can discover the sea in its purest form and without limits. The compact design of the Inboard Performance System (IPS) from Volvo Penta optimises the space below deck. This makes me the only open yacht in my category that can offer an owner's suite in full beam format. I simply create space for everything, even including the words of my 'creator' Luca Santella."

In the author's language, the whole thing sounds a little more matter-of-fact. The main role on the main deck of the BG54 is played by the seating area and a large sun lounger on the foredeck, a helm station equipped with everything that sat nav electronics have to offer, an elegant lounge with sumptuous sofas and table and the open cockpit, which offers space for large sun loungers on its elegant teak floor. The elongated hardtop, which is equipped with a sliding roof and sturdy windows and has the character of a wheelhouse, is in the same class. Cooking takes place below deck. Here, the galley acts as a "room divider" between the owner's suite installed amidships and the VIP cabin in the bow. Double beds and a separate bathroom are a must-have in the suite and cabin. In (layout) plan B, the Italian yacht builders install two single rooms with separate beds instead of the owner's suite.

If you want to accelerate a 16.57 m long yacht weighing around 20 tonnes to a top speed of 35 knots and manoeuvre it easily and safely in any situation, you need an innovative, electronically controlled propulsion system like Volvo Pentas IPS. The yacht follows every movement of the joystick. Bluegame offers potential owners the choice of IPS 800 or IPS 950, or in other words 2x 625 or 2x 725 hp. In both cases, the basis is two diesel engines with a displacement of 11 litres and pod drives.
