When you think of weekenders, you primarily look at the brochures and websites of American shipyards. The test boat "Marquise von O ..." also runs under the name "Weekender" and is an interesting alternative to the boats mentioned above.

Our test boat, the PTS 26, with the name "Marquise von O ..." - which is the name of a beautiful novella by Heinrich von Kleist - also goes by the name of "Weekender" and is an interesting alternative to the boats mentioned above.

With its back deck (raised, fully covered foredeck), the PTS is not an everyday boat. It deserves the term "weekender" due to its equipment with double berth, small pantry unit and toilet room. The shipyard describes her sailing area as "coastal waters".

If you want to reach the most diverse areas not only on your own keel, but on a trailer, you can easily do this yourself.

The German dealer recommends a 3.5-tonne BT3500 ECO Line trailer from Harbeck (€ 4620 surcharge). The boat, which was first launched in 2007, is built in the Netherlands by Statement Marine.

The plastic finish on our test boat shows a professional ride on the outside and inside The PTS hull moves smoothly through the choppy water on Lake Plau, but splash water sometimes reaches the cockpit.

You can download the entire test here as an original 6-page PDF.
