The next member of Quicksilver's new "active" model family is the 645 Cabin. It should be safe and versatile - and look good.

According to the shipyard, it all started with a customer survey: What does the sports skipper want from his boat, or rather from his boat? Quicksilver ? Safety was at the top of the list of desired criteria, with an appealing design in second place and emphasised versatility in third. Comfort only came in fourth place.

The message was clear: the customer wanted a boat for an active lifestyle, with plenty of sport, fun and the necessary speed - the Activ line was born.

The Activ 645 Cabin is the largest model in the range and has a slip berth in the foredeck. You can easily spend a night there (a proper flush toilet is located under the V-berth), but the design focus is clearly on the day and the cockpit layout.

Depending on the situation, the U-shaped upholstered bench can be transformed into a seating area with table or a large sun lounger. The stair-like design of the stern with two practical seats above the bathing platform makes it easy to get in and out when you want to cool off; a really successful design element!

With a length of 6.15 m and an unladen weight of 1360 kg, the Quicksilver Activ 645 Cabin can be motorised with outboards between 115 and 200 hp. A maximum of seven people can travel on the CE category C boat.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
