A bowrider with space for 18 people and full comfort - is that possible? Regal proves it with the new 3200. And calls it "day yachting".

The difference betweenday cruising andday yachting? Quickly explained, if Regal is anything to go by: behind the second term is the fun factor from the first (i.e. with plenty of space for sunbathing etc.), but supplemented by a level of comfort that you don't normally find on a small day cruiser - for example a spacious WC cabin with designer washbasin below deck.

Up to 18 people can have a good time on board the 9.80 metre long glider. The numerous upholstered seats in the bow and stern can be flexibly adapted to any purpose. The wet bar - Regal calls it the "Refreshment Centre" - and the cool boxes fore and aft provide the right "company", as does the entertainment package for the appropriate sound system.

The unladen weight of the extraordinary Regal 3200 Bowrider is given as just under 4500 kg. To get up to speed, the US shipyard installs a twin pack of powerful petrol engines with sterndrives, either from Mercruiser or Volvo Penta. There is a choice of 600 or 760 hp, with joystick control available on request.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
