SASGA Yachts Menorquín 36 Open: Its Mediterranean character is unmistakable

The Spanish shipyard SASGA Yachts has unveiled the concept for the Menorquín 36 Open – an 11.23-metre dayboat designed to bring life on the water entirely outdoors. The concept, layout, technical specifications and a catalogue are now available.

“The 36 Open adds a new way of enjoying life at sea to the range: spending the whole day on deck,” says Jordi Ferrer, Sales and Marketing Director at SASGA Yachts.

Mediterranean lightness

The deck of the 36 Open is clearly designed with a day on the water in mind: swimming, relaxing, dining and cruising. At the stern, a platform with a stainless-steel handrail invites those keen on a swim. Further forward, there is a double sun lounger almost two metres long, divided by a central passageway. The headrests can be folded down and used as backrests for the dinette – transforming the sun lounger into a seating area for up to eight people.

The central area is the hub of social life on board: two fold-away dining tables, a galley with a sink, a gas hob, storage space and two fridges. The helm allows for comfortable steering whilst seated or standing, and all instruments are consolidated on a single ultra-panoramic display. A hardtop protects the helm and lounge area from sun and rain. On the foredeck, a second, more sheltered seating area invites you to linger.

Below deck

Despite its open-plan design, the 36 Open offers proper sleeping accommodation: a sliding door leads to the cabin, which features a sofa and fixed berths. A second sleeping area, comprising a double berth and a separate bathroom, provides additional overnight accommodation in a separate space.
