With the opening of a new production site in Larsmo, Finland, Saxdor Yachts is laying the foundations for its entry into the 45-50-foot yacht category. The new flagship, the Saxdor 460 GTC, is due to be unveiled to the public in January 2026 and marks a milestone in the development of the still young brand.
The site in Larsmo, which opened in October 2025, focuses on building the manufacturer's largest and most technically sophisticated models. The region is known for its long boatbuilding tradition and thus offers ideal conditions for the production of high-quality yachts. With this expansion, Saxdor is responding to the increasing demand in this segment and supporting the forecast annual growth of 70 per cent for 2025.
At 46 feet (approx. 14 metres), the Saxdor 460 GTC will be the manufacturer's largest model to date. The yacht has an enclosed wheelhouse that is suitable for use all year round and can be opened aft. This creates a continuous area from the bow to the aft deck. Particular attention has been paid to spacious living areas and increased comfort, without neglecting the typical Saxdor features such as striking design, intelligent use of space and powerful drives.
"The Saxdor 460 GTC marks a new chapter for our brand," explains Erna Rusi, Managing Director of Saxdor Yachts. "Our continued growth and strong demand confirm that Saxdor has found its place in the market and that interest in our boats is now spreading to new customer segments, including those who are now orientated towards the top end of our range."
Saxdor has made a name for itself with innovative technologies. This includes Saxdor AI, which according to the manufacturer is the industry's first AI-supported co-skipper, designed to support boaters with navigation and boat operation. In addition, the so-called Digital Showroom offers a virtual platform where customers can explore and configure boats before making a purchase decision.
Saxdor Yachts was founded in 2019 and has quickly become the fastest growing boat brand in Europe. The company delivered its first boat in 2020 and has since produced nine models with an annual volume of around 700 boats. The workforce now comprises 800 skilled employees.
The dealer network spans five continents with 150 locations. The head office is located in Helsinki, Finland, while production takes place in Elk, Poland, and now also in Larsmo, Finland. With the Saxdor Academy, the company is also investing in the training of skilled labour for the shipbuilding industry.
