Rugged coastlines, countless skerries, vast forests and lakes - and plenty of shipyards. That's how you could describe Scandinavia from a skipper's point of view. In fact, there are an astonishing number of small and large shipyards in Norway, Sweden and Finland; no wonder, however, as boats are often just as important as cars (or even more important) as a means of transport.
Scandinavian boats are generally characterised by high quality and excellent seaworthiness. This is hardly surprising, as the area and weather dictate absolute reliability in these areas. However, production is also versatile, from specialised multi-purpose aluboats to classic motor yachts with GRP hulls.
In the photo gallery, we present fifteen new releases for the 2012 model year with the most important technical data. Most of them will be on show at German boat shows by autumn at the latest.
