The German boat manufacturer Sterk is expanding its portfolio with a new 26-foot trailer boat. The boat is currently only available as a combustion engine, but an electric version is set to follow shortly. We present the first pictures of the new trailer boat.

With the Sterk 26, the Nuremberg shipyard presents its first trailerable motorboat. The boat, which is around 8 metres long, complements the existing model range, which previously consisted of the larger 31-foot RC (Rear Cabin) and WB (Wet Bar) variants.

Like all Sterk models, the 26 is also based on the so-called two-stage hull. This design creates two defined contact surfaces on the underwater hull when planing, which significantly reduces water resistance. According to the manufacturer, this can lead to up to 30 per cent less fuel consumption compared to conventional hull shapes. Yamaha outboard engines are available for the market launch, either as single or twin drives in power classes between 250 and 500 hp.

Electric version for North America

An electric version of the 26 is also set to follow from 2026. This is being developed in collaboration with the Canadian specialist Vision Marine Technologies, a manufacturer of electric drive systems for boats. The electric version is initially planned for the North American market; details on battery capacity, range or charging time have not yet been communicated. Whether and when the electric version will also be available in Europe remains to be seen.

Full equipment despite compact dimensions

Despite its compact dimensions, the Sterk 26 offers a comprehensive range of equipment that is exceptional for boats of this size. The cabin has a separate shower and toilet, while the cockpit offers a fully equipped wet bar with cooking facilities. Two spacious sun loungers invite you to relax, and the full-length stern area provides easy access to the bathing platform. Numerous storage compartments provide ample space for equipment and personal belongings.

Sterk 26 is trailerable

A special feature of the Sterk 26 is its trailerability. Thanks to its compact dimensions and a weight that allows it to be transported on a suitable trailer with a suitable towing vehicle, the boat can be flexibly transported to a wide variety of waters. This makes the 26 particularly interesting for owners who value freedom and mobility, as they are not dependent on a home harbour and can spontaneously explore new areas.

The 26 is therefore more than just a compact trailer boat: it combines sporty dynamics, flexible utilisation options and a surprising amount of comfort. With its clear, modern design and the optional electric version, it represents a new generation of sporty, functional day cruisers.

We haven't yet sailed the boat, but a test is already planned for the first half of 2026. We are excited to see how the Sterk 26 compares to the Sterk 31 and whether it is just as sporty as its big sister.
