Greek boat builder Technohull is expanding its product range with the new "Expedition Series". The first model in this series is the XPD 46, a 14.85 metre luxury cruiser designed for year-round use. The boat combines Scandinavian robustness with Mediterranean elegance and is set to set new standards in the explorer boat segment.
The centrepiece of the XPD 46 is the central deckhouse. It can be completely closed or opened depending on the weather conditions and desired use. When closed, it offers protection from adverse conditions, ideal for travelling in colder regions or in bad weather. Opening the sliding doors and the roof creates an open area that merges seamlessly with the cockpit - perfect for warm summer days.
The steering position in the front part of the deckhouse has three comfortable seats. At the rear is a seating area with a table. According to the manufacturer, various configurations are possible to customise the number of seats or berths.
With a width of 4.40 metres, the XPD 46 offers plenty of space on deck. The stern has a large sunbathing area with an integrated seating area. Below this is storage space for equipment or a dinghy. The way to the foredeck leads over wide side decks, where another sun lounger is located. Here, too, there is a large storage space underneath.
Below deck, the boat has two cabins. The owner's cabin in the foredeck is equipped with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. A guest cabin with a spacious double bed is located in the stern area. An additional skipper's cabin under the aft sunbed can be ordered as an option.
Technohull offers the XPD 46 with various engine configurations, both with outboard and inboard engines. The maximum total output is 1,800 hp (1,324 kW). According to the manufacturer, the cruising speed is around 35 knots. With the most powerful engines, speeds of up to 60 knots are even possible.
The so-called Dynastream hull ensures good sailing characteristics even in rough seas. This is a deep V-hull with steps. A raised bow section is designed to reduce splash water and make travelling through waves more comfortable.
Technohull is a Greek manufacturer of high-performance boats. The company was founded in 2005 and specialises in the development and production of fast, seaworthy boats. The models range from sporty dayboats to luxury tenders for large yachts.
