Is that an inflatable boat? A mega yacht tender? Or even a floating water police interceptor? The Iron 767 stands out, both in the harbour and at sea. The huge black rubber bead surrounding the entire boat, the elegant-looking superstructure with stealth-style kinks, the striking, straight and well-padded "ram" bow and the chunky, white-painted Evinrude outboard engine at the stern.
It really is difficult to categorise the Iron 767. Its characteristics are so diverse, its design so unusual, that every walker here on the Kiel Fjord has to pause for a moment and marvel: What kind of boat is this?
Designed as a fast day cruiser for the Swedish archipelago, the Iron 767 is the flagship of the series and a real all-rounder. It offers comfortable space for up to eight passengers for fast trips along the coast, but can also inspire respect for its driver as a sports machine. With the 250 hp Evinrude two-stroke engine at the stern, the boat really sprints off and can reach speeds of up to 50 knots. But speed is not the only thing the Iron 767 has to offer.
