This time, the French have decided to break new ground with the hull design. This does not detract from the driving pleasure.

Jeanneau presents aFresh generation Cap Camarat with Centre Console. Our test boat, the 6.5 CC, has increased in length and width and, according to the shipyard, is only 20 kg heavier.

The layout has remained the same: At the front, the benches can be converted into a lounger, in the centre there is a console with steering position and access downwards, aft there is a bench seat and bathing platforms to the right and left of the outboard motor.

Another new feature is thatmore people are allowed on board (CE C: 8; CE D: 9), and a folding bench seat in the cockpit side wall has been visibly added. For trailer captains, we recommend a trailer with a payload of at least 1400 kg and a towing vehicle that can take 1.8 tonnes on the hook.

The hull shell stands out in terms of workmanship. It is produced between an inner and outer mould and is smooth on the outside and inside.

The deck shell with console and cockpit floor are conventionally manufactured in a negative mould. As far as can be seen, the partitions between the cockpit floor and the fuselage are permanently elastic but firmly glued. However, there are untreated plastic cut edges in the entrance area of the centre console and cut-out of the cockpit floor storage compartment.

There are empty conduits in which hoses and cables are routed and bulkhead openings fitted with edge protection."Nothing learnt"This applies to the fuel pre-filter, which is installed on the tank in such a way that you can neither see the sight glass properly nor change the filter without problems.

Otherwise, there is nothing to criticise in terms of the technical and electrical installations or the solid mounting of the 150 hp Yamaha.
