The world belongs to the brave. Or you follow the trend of the times and don't just build a new boat, but take what's there and make the best of it. In this case, it's the Leader 30, which already proved to me in 2017 (BOOTE 3/2017) what it's capable of, and was therefore rightly given the title "All respect" was awarded.
In the conclusion, I praised it as a "Almost a jack of all trades" with consistently positive attributes in terms of space and handling characteristics. And it is precisely this boat that has now been "pimped" or, in colloquial terms, pimped up.
How? Remove the diesel inboard and the sterndrive, bolt a "box" to the stern, also known as a bracket, and attach two outboard motors to it, which together put 400 hp into the water, done.
But it's not as simple as that, because this has turned the old Leader 30 into what seems to me to be an unexpectedly new one. Hydrodynamics doesn't just take everything in its stride.
TheDifference in weight and thus theChanged centre of gravity and the fact that the weight is now very far back have changed the balance. In addition, the steering point is now a long way behind the boat, which means it is pushed in a completely different way.
