MFH (Maritime Faserverbundtechnik Haring) is known for building tidal sailboats, now they are building their first motorboat.

The Tide 24M is a boat that can easily be sailed alone, but it is just as suitable for leisurely trips with several people or simply for relaxing at anchor. The new Tide was developed by MFH in collaboration with Marc-Oliver von Ahlen's yacht design office. Construction of the prototype will begin in the next few weeks, Uwe Regensdorf (CEO of MFH) tells us.

Special hull

The so-called PFH hull (PFH stands for: Parametic Fast Hull), whose flow resistance is reduced by up to 30 % according to the shipyard, can already glide with little engine power. This makes it particularly suitable for electric drives, although the classic diesel is also available. MFH specifies a top speed of 14 to 15 knots. The engine is located under the console box and transmits its power to the water via a POD drive. The supply batteries for the electric drive are located laterally under the benches.

Split galley on the Tide 24M

The helm station is positioned in the centre aft, from where the skipper can easily operate the boat and has good all-round visibility. Further forward is the galley, which is divided into two blocks with a passageway in the centre. In front of this is the cosy seating area, which offers space for six people, with a sprayhood covering the front seats. In the bow, the designer has accommodated a cabin with a berth and a toilet protected from view.

The entrance to the foredeck is a very special highlight. There is a bow hatch here which, when folded down, creates a step. This access provides safe access to the low-lying foredeck, which is equipped with a seat from which you can enjoy a great view into the distance. If you want to enjoy a cool dip, you can do so comfortably via a bathing platform, for which the aft side of the boat can be folded down.
