Certainly belongs Grand Banks is one of the ancestors of the trawler yacht. The designs from California are available in seventeen sizes, ranging from 40 feet to the 120-foot mega yacht.
However, there are also numerous trawler manufacturers in the USA that are largely unknown in this country. On the one hand there are American Tugs from the state of Washington on the Pacific. They offer four very robust models between 36 and 52 feet, including the American Tugs 365 and 525 from our photo gallery.
With Kadey-Krogen has also been building trawlers in Florida since 1977. The latest model is the Krogen 48 Advanced Ergonomics (AE) shown here, which only made its debut this year and is based on a successful predecessor model from 1995. The model range comprises a total of seven boats from 39 to 64 feet in length.
Back to Europe: the modern and dynamic Skagen 50 has been on the market for a few years now. The name sounds purely Scandinavian, but in fact the Skagen Yachts However, the boat is a co-production between the Slovenian design studio Seaway and the Danish boat builders Shipman.
Even with Bénéteau has picked up on the trend and entered the trawler segment. The result is the Swift trawler, which favours a contemporary exterior and features some typical elements of the French shipyard.
