A yacht has exploded in the Turkish seaside resort of Bodrum after refuelling in a harbour. Despite the powerful explosion, everyone in the immediate vicinity escaped with their lives. The exact circumstances that led to this dangerous accident are still unclear.

Course of the incident

The explosion occurred completely unexpectedly after the yacht had been refuelled. There is always an increased risk at such moments, as fuel vapours and open flames or sparks can form a dangerous combination. The force of the explosion must have been enormous, as the video recording shows.
