Seabobs, i.e. electric submersible scooters, have been among the most popular water toys on large yachts for many years. In the standard version, they reach speeds of around 20 km/h. The new SEABOB SE63 is the result of a co-operation between the German manufacturer CAYAGO AG and the Italian luxury brand Lamborghini. The electrically powered watercraft celebrated its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is aimed at yacht owners who are looking for a powerful and environmentally friendly water toy. According to the manufacturer, the new model can reach speeds of up to 35 km/h on the surface of the water.
Weighing just 35 kg, the SEABOB SE63 can be manoeuvred on board yachts by two people without any technical aids. The design features clearly recognisable Lamborghini elements. The cockpit is equipped with the characteristic start button and a central carbon element, as is familiar from the Italian manufacturer's super sports cars. The digital speedometer displays the speed in the distinctive Lamborghini numerals.
High-quality materials are used in the construction. Technical components made of titanium and magnesium as well as a carbon motor shaft in the drive system ensure stability and low weight at the same time. A special feature is the electrically extendable wings, which provide additional stability on the water surface and make the high speeds possible in the first place.
The SEABOB SE63 offers a so-called Thrust Performance of 162 TP. This value is the result of a combination of thrust, vehicle weight and electrical power. Two driving modes are available for different purposes: Normal mode is also suitable for underwater diving, while Sport mode ensures maximum acceleration on the surface and pushes the vehicle to its peak performance with high torque.
The SEABOB SE63 can reach speeds of up to 35 km/h on the water thanks to the optional installation of a performance board at the rear, on which the rider can rest their body. The board has a wing on the underside that generates additional buoyancy and brings the watercraft into the gliding phase in just a few seconds.
Production of the SEABOB SE63 will begin in 2026. The watercraft will be available from selected SEABOB sales partners from summer 2026. The name "SE63" stands for Special Edition and refers to the founding year 1963 of Automobili Lamborghini.
