Wellcraft continues its strategic expansion in the offshore boat sector and presents the new Wellcraft 243 Fisherman. The completely redesigned model has been redesigned from the ground up to offer better offshore performance, optimised fishing features and more comfort - without changing the brand's typical character.
The deck of the 243 Fisherman has been redesigned to provide more functionality and space in key areas. The result is a spacious aft cockpit, ideal for fishing or socialising with friends and family on the water. The hull with a deep V and the raised freeboard ensure safe sailing characteristics. The large tank capacity of around 712 litres allows owners to go further out and stay at sea for longer.
The walkaround layout guarantees versatile 360° enjoyment, which is supported by non-slip decks and numerous rod holders. The newly designed bow enables the seamless installation and operation of a trolling motor, while the stern is prepared ex works for the installation of a power pole system.
In addition to pure performance, the new Wellcraft 243 offers plenty of comfort and user-friendliness. The bow area has been completely redesigned to facilitate socialising on the water. It offers seating with improved ergonomics and customisable layouts. According to the shipyard, an optimised driving position at the steering console ensures good operation; a large dashboard with space for two displays and a windscreen do the rest.
The revised hardtop offers both shade and weather protection. Throughout the boat, robust, high-quality upholstery, well thought-out storage solutions and practical seating emphasise the balance between function and comfort.
The combination of a deep V-hull with a 20 degree angle, high freeboard and robust construction gives the Wellcraft 243 Fisherman a sense of security - whether offshore or along the coast. The shipyard offers single and twin engine systems with outboards from Mercury and Yamaha.
Wellcraft can look back on more than 70 years of experience in offshore boat building. Founded in Florida and made famous by the TV series "Miami Vice", the American brand builds legendary, handcrafted boats ranging in length from 20 to 44 feet. The shipyard has been part of Groupe Beneteau since 2014.
