Following the success of the X10CC, Zodiac is following suit: The new X9CC is designed to offer everything that has made its bigger brother so popular - but in a more compact form. At 8.6 metres long and 3.32 metres wide, the boat is positioned between trailerability and great comfort - ideal for families, sporty crews or weekend boaters looking for something more than just a bathing platform.
Zodiac remains true to its line: the X9CC combines a stable GRP hull with inflatable tubes - a combination that ensures safety, stability and easy handling. The boat can be steered precisely even in choppy seas and remains surprisingly calm, the shipyard promises. The tubes not only have a shock-absorbing effect, they also give the boat a portion of safety, especially during fast manoeuvres or in narrow harbours.
Up to 15 people can board without it getting cramped - an indication that Zodiac has attached great importance to space allocation. The high freeboards also convey a feeling of safety, which families in particular will appreciate.
The X9CC is a typical centre-console boat with plenty of freedom of movement on deck. There are spacious sunbathing areas at the front and rear, which can be converted into a sun island or a seating area with table in just a few simple steps.
Hidden under the centre console is a compact cabin that offers more than you might expect at first glance: a sleeping area for two, a separate toilet and plenty of storage space for bags or equipment. This makes the boat suitable not only for day trips, but also for spontaneous weekend tours along the coast.
With an unladen weight of around 2,350 kilograms, the X9CC is still manageable enough for trailer operation (depending on the towing vehicle), but offers enough substance for powerful motorisation. Up to 2×250 hp outboards are possible - according to the manufacturer, the boat can reach a top speed of around 50 knots in this configuration.
The newly developed stepped hull is designed to reduce water resistance and ensure better acceleration with lower fuel consumption. The 620-litre tank offers a good range for long day trips without having to constantly refill.
In typical Zodiac style, the basic equipment is lavish: bow roller with electric winch, bathing platforms with ladder and shower, USB ports on the console, LED lighting in the cabin and a solid windscreen with wiper are all included.
The X9CC is also visually variable: the hoses are available in several variants - from classic white to carbon black or military grey. You can also choose from upholstery colours with names such as River Blue or Sunset Coral. This quickly creates a personalised look without appearing overloaded.
According to the manufacturer, the X9CC with two 200 hp Mercury engines starts at 149,167 euros (plus VAT). A more extensively equipped version - including a hardtop, toilet, extended sunbathing area, GPS and sound system - is priced at 191,318 euros.
This positions the model somewhere between a sporty leisure boat and a comfortable day cruiser. If you want less length but still a lot of equipment, this is an interesting package.
With the X9CC, Zodiac proves once again that RIBs have long been more than just workboats. The new model combines fun, safety and comfort in a well thought-out format. For anyone who loves the water but doesn't want to move a ten-metre boat, the X9CC could be the perfect compromise - sporty, compact and with enough space for family and friends. The price of the X9CC starts at 149,167 euros (plus VAT) in the version with two 200 hp Mercurys, while the more extensively equipped version is priced at 191,318 euros.
With the X9CC, Zodiac remains true to its reputation as an innovator in the RIB segment - this time with a boat that is also ideal for smaller crews and spontaneous trips.
