"Cabana" was launched at Mengi Yay's shipyard in Tuzla near Istanbul. The 34.5 metre long displacer is the first unit in the new Atlante Classic 35 series and was built under the project number NB 111. "Serenissima I".
Behind the "displacer with explorer characteristics" is an experienced northern European client, who was represented by Mark Seaton during the construction process. Project management was in the hands of Fatih Dalkıran from the Turkish consultancy Antalyachts.
Both the exterior lines and the interior of "Cabana" were designed by Paolo Dose from VYD Studio in Trieste. The lead designer emphasises: "The yacht was originally conceived as a 33-metre concept with less than 300 gross tonnes. However, it then developed into an explorer yacht with a gross tonnage of 330."
On board the Atlante Classic 35 series, guests are spread over five suites and enjoy generous storage space, a beach club and spacious deck areas.
Giuseppe Arrabito from Arrabito Naval Architects in Livorno is responsible for the design of the steel-aluminium displacement vessel. "Cabana" is designed for long-distance voyages and has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles. Equipped with two Volvo Penta D16 850 engines with SCR system, the yacht complies with the strict IMO Tier III environmental standards.
Hüseyin Mengi, CEO of Mengi Yay Yachting, emphasises the importance of the project: "The yacht is one of the most striking results of our collaboration with VYD. This model reflects the production capabilities and technical expertise of our shipyard."
The completion of "Cabana" marks an important milestone for Mengi Yay. The second unit of the Atlante Classic 35 series is already available for sale, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
