The Palumbo Superyachts brand announces the sale of the new ISA GTO 70, a project developed for a well-known ISA customer who wanted an extra sporty dayboat alongside his mega yacht, according to the Italian shipyard.
The ISA GTO 70 continues the tradition of the equally fast and powerful ISA 120ft, which was one of the shipyard's best-selling models. A look at the Sportivo series.
Galeazzi Design is responsible for both the exterior lines and the interior; the aggressive and functional look of the ISA GTO 70 is consistently subordinate to the performance. The compact, lightweight yacht, radically designed for speed, is not an experiment in style, but a well thought-out new design.
The hull was developed by the Naval Engineering team at ISA Yachts with the help of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) studies. The aim was to create a glider that is stable even at 50 knots and can be handled with precision. Propulsion is provided by two MAN V12 engines, each with 1213 kilowatts (1650 hp), which are coupled with ASD Arneson surface propellers. The extensive use of carbon fibre in the hull and superstructure puts the GTO 70 in the "ultra-light high-performance yacht" category.
The interior of the ISA GTO 70 combines modern, lightweight materials with Italian craftsmanship. Below deck, there is the owner's cabin in the foredeck, a double cabin with single beds and a VIP in the centre area. There is also a cabin for up to two crew members, and the galley is also clearly separated from the guest area.
With the GTO 70, ISA Yachts is strengthening its position in the sporty superyacht segment. The range also includes classic lines and explorers. Alongside Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine and Extra, ISA is part of Palumbo Superyachts. A 100-metre project is currently under construction in the ISA halls, which is set to become the new flagship.
