Right at the beginning of 2026, on 8 January, the 49.50-metre Project 717 left the construction hall of the Aalsmeer shipyard south of Amsterdam. The exterior lines of the aluminium superyacht were drawn by in-house studio De Voogt, while Marty Lowe designed the interior in close collaboration with the owner.
Jan Schaffers, Senior Designer at Studio De Voogt, explains the philosophy: "In the exterior design, we have lengthened the lines without making the yacht look stretched. The widened shoulders along the sides of the sun deck play a crucial role in achieving this balance." Feadship "Valor".
On the main deck, the focus was on the beach club. The fold-down side panels significantly extend the cockpit and create plenty of space around the glass Jacuzzi. The generous ceiling height reinforces this impression and offers guests an unrestricted view of the sea.
The sun deck, which is comparable in size to much larger yachts, houses the flybridge and a second steering position, a bar plus barbecue, a dining area with ceiling fans and a lounge. The foredeck is equipped with seating and sun loungers.
The interior designed by Marty Lowe offers space for ten guests in five cabins. This includes an owner's cabin with panoramic views, study and dressing room.
The Project 717 is powered by technology developed as part of the Feadship Advanced Electrical Drive programme. Propulsion and steering are via thrusters, a proven configuration that significantly reduces drag and improves manoeuvrability.
The 717 was sold via Feadship's resale department and is now being prepared for its first seatrials in the North Sea. Delivery is scheduled for next spring.
