Feadship docked the 92-metre project 1012 in Makkum. One reason why the owner decided to build this yacht was the desire for a larger beach club, which now takes up a quarter of the total length of the lower deck. The fixed stern platform with two fold-out platforms forms a 165 square metre lounge area at water level.
The Dutch Sinot studio collaborated with a design office that is close to the experienced owners. Between the engine room and the beach club is a side-loading garage with space for two ten-metre dinghies, a wakeboard boat and various water toys.
The galley, mess and well-equipped crew accommodation are located forward. The main cabin, family lounge and wellness area are located on the upper decks. Project 1012 will be the first Feadship with full hybrid-electric classification. In addition to conventional diesel propulsion, two electric motors of 560 kilowatts each work as shaft generators to produce electricity for hotel operations or to charge the battery bank with an output of one megawatt. Slow whispering journeys should also be possible.
There is a rumour circulating on the scene that Project 1012 will be christened "Drizzle". This would suggest a successor to the 67-metre Feadhsip of the same name from 2012, which is said to be owned by ZARA founder Amancio Ortega.
