“BEL1” was launched by Rossinavi in 2024 and will be on display at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September. The reason for the display: this 50-metre one-off is available on the charter market through the brokerage firm IYC for 295,000 euros per week. “BEL1” is an exciting design in many respects. Although her lines might make her look faster and the aluminium construction might suggest otherwise, she is a displacement yacht. One with a particularly shallow draught (2.3 m) and therefore little concern about grounding during coastal safaris.
The look of a sports SUV
The exterior, characterised by sharp edges and curves, was created by Fulvio De Simoni. The Italian designer based the design on sporty SUVs. The raised hull merges seamlessly into the superstructure, and the surfaces are consistently softly contoured. Two large openings in the side hull bring natural light into the saloon and the owner’s cabin. A strip of glass integrated into the bulwark illuminates the upper deck and offers views from the lounge. A similar slit window adorns the bulwark of the sun deck. De Simoni emphasises the bow of the ‘BEL1’ as a striking design feature with converging lines.
Lower Deck and Beach Club
The lower deck accommodates four guest cabins: three with double beds and one with sliding single beds. Aft is the storage area for water sports equipment, which is accessible from both inside and outside. A fold-out side panel transforms this area into a balcony and makes it easier to launch the tender and water sports equipment. The enclosed beach club can be converted into a spacious terrace thanks to fold-out sides and a specially designed rear hatch.
Main deck and mezzanine
The cockpit on the main deck is covered and offers a sheltered outdoor area. At the bow, the lounge area is followed by a dining area. The side walls of the saloon can be folded out to form balconies, providing panoramic views. At the stern, between the main and upper decks, there is a mezzanine level. This intermediate level utilises the difference in height between the decks to provide additional private retreats – making the ‘BEL1’ a yacht offering a high degree of privacy, particularly when moored in the marina.
Upper deck and sun deck
The upper deck features a veranda at the stern with a dining area, which can be sheltered from the weather by sliding glass panels. This area is directly connected to the lounge, which features an open-plan bar. Also located on this deck is a ‘BEL1’ fitness room. Above this, the extended superstructure provides a 145-square-metre sun deck. This is divided into sunbathing areas, a covered seating area with a bar, a barbecue area and a small plunge pool. A retractable television in the centre of the deck can be angled towards both the bow and the stern.
Interior design by Enrico Gobbi
Team For Design, led by Enrico Gobbi, collaborated with Carlo Lionetti to develop the interior of ‘BEL1’. The colour scheme is based on dark tones such as black, grey and taupe, which are intended to contrast with the light blue of the sea. Using a colour gradient from darker to lighter shades, Gobbi’s team aims to create a sense of visual depth. In the entrance area, a staircase made of honeycomb-core aluminium in a brass finish, with backlit wall panelling, serves as an eye-catching feature.
Brushed American walnut and matt-lacquered Thai wood characterise the surfaces. The wall panelling, made from stitched nappa leather, is designed to convey a sense of warmth to the touch. Bespoke furniture from well-known brands has been specially tailored to the room’s layout. Unique types of marble and works of art by international artists, including Murano glassware, complement the upmarket interior finish.
Propulsion and tender fleet
An 11-metre-long Axopar, fitted with a cabin, toilet and outdoor shower, is towed or follows behind. The in-house fleet also includes a Clubman 21 RIB and a 6.8-metre-long crew tender. The water sports equipment includes a SeaDoo RXP-X jet ski for two people, a SeaDoo RXT-X jet ski for three people, two SeaBobs and two stand-up paddleboards.
Four stabiliser fins are designed to ensure a smooth ride in rough seas. With a length of 49.90 metres and a width of 8.90 metres, the “BEL1” remains just below the 500-gross-tonne limit. Two CAT diesel engines, each with an output of 1,193 kilowatts, drive the vessel via shaft drives to a top speed of 18 knots. Cruising speed is 14 knots. According to Rossinavi, the range is 4,000 nautical miles when travelling at a constant speed of 10 knots with full tanks.

About Rossinavi
The Rossinavi shipyard was founded in Viareggio in 2007, after the brothers Claudio and Paride Rossi had been manufacturing hulls for fishing boats as metalworkers since the 1980s. Operating under the name Cantiere Navali Rossi, the company worked as a supplier to the luxury yacht industry in the 1990s. Today, the shipyard builds bespoke superyachts between 40 and 70 metres in length. Rossinavi remains a family-run business. More than half of the production is carried out by hand, and the entire construction process takes place in-house.
