Benetti’s Custom 80M has arrived at the shipyard in Livorno. The six-deck steel yacht, featuring a Cassetta design, is now entering the outfitting phase. The launch of the 80-metre yacht is scheduled for 2028.

Benetti has announced a significant milestone in the construction of the Custom 80M, project number FB291. The hull of the 80-metre-long steel vessel has been transferred to the next production facility following the completion of the hull welding. The shipyard in Livorno will now take over the remaining outfitting work.

Benetti: a custom-built yacht builder

The project is important for the brand’s positioning in the custom-built segment. This is because the 80M embodies Benetti’s new approach to fulfilling individual client requests. Cassetta Yacht Design is responsible for both the exterior and interior of the six-deck yacht.

Livorno serves as the Group’s main site for large-scale steel structures and handles steel and aluminium components measuring 37 metres or more in length. Shipyard adopts new strategy

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
