Bilgin Yachts crowned the year 2024 when "Al Reem" finally came to light. She is the third and final unit in the 80-metre superyacht trilogy.

The 80 series has cemented Bilgin Yachts' reputation as a leading shipyard in the global superyacht industry. Launched in 2020, "Tatiana" made history as the largest yacht ever built in Turkey, while her successor "Leona" received international recognition and won several awards.

Now "Al Reem" is continuing the legacy of her predecessors and expanding it with fresh ideas. Emrecan Özgün, founder and CEO of Unique Yacht Design, says: "She may be the youngest sister, but with a gross tonnage of 1,758 GT, she is the most voluminous - almost 100 GT more than 'Tatiana'".

"Al Reem's" mast is much larger than that of her sisters

To achieve this, the designers have completely redesigned the superstructure and created smooth, flowing lines and an elegant profile. The foredeck is completely covered in teak, the superstructure shimmers in a striking and sporty combination of grey and white, garnished with a black metallic design. The grey-painted mast is 20 percent larger than that of her sisters, which further emphasises the modern look.

One of the top features of "Al Reem" is the forward-facing owner's suite, which offers a sweeping 300-degree view and a direct connection to nature. Two sliding doors lead to an outdoor terrace and a whirlpool, while XL glass surfaces in the large salons emphasise the feeling of being close to the sea. In addition, the extended aft decks now offer 20 per cent more outdoor living space.

Glass elements refract the light in the rooms

Bilgin has once again collaborated with H2 Yacht Design for the interior design. Jonny Horsfield, founder of the studio: "We have developed a completely new aesthetic for "Al Reem", the light and neutral colours feel fresh and yet have a calming effect on the soul".

The base is formed by matt woods that harmonise well with the polished stainless steel details. Wall panels and details upholstered in cream-coloured leather exude subtle opulence and create an inviting ambience. Wood and silk carpets were chosen for the floors. Glass elements artfully refract the light and create a shimmering interplay that lends the rooms depth and dynamism.

Bilgin's attention to detail exceeded all expectations

Marino Perkusic, who represents the owner, is visibly proud: "The construction of 'Al Reem' was a remarkable collaboration. Bilgin's creativity and attention to detail exceeded all expectations and turned the owner's vision into a breathtaking reality."

First and foremost, the client wanted a "serene oasis of calm, purity and relaxation" on board "Al Reem". He got that - thanks in part to the open-plan layout with multifunctional rooms.

"Al Reem" marks a triumphant finale to the year

With the launch of "Al Reem", Bilgin Yachts celebrated the result of a demanding three-year work phase. With the 80 metres, the family business, which produces around 90 percent of all work itself at a total of five locations, aims to consolidate its leading position in the construction of luxury yachts.
