50th Anna: Feadship's former flagship was ordered by the Russian oligarch and majority owner of AS Monaco Dmitry Rybolovlev. After delivery, the eye-catching Michael Leach design travelled to Amsterdam several times before embarking on an extended voyage around the world, stopping in Tahiti. One of the special features of "Anna" is a 19 metre long artificial turf pitch on the foredeck.

49th Kaos: The "Jubilee" was built by Oceanco according to PYC rules and with an Igor Lobanov design. The order was placed by the Emir of Qatar, who did not live to see the launch. After the sale in 2019, Lürssen in Hamburg adapted the interior of the curvy superstructure to the wishes of the new US owners, who renamed it "Secret III". The wheelchair-friendly yacht now sails as "Kaos" for Walmart heiress Nancy Walton.

48th Alaiya: Lürssen welded together the former "Tis" at the Rendsburg site. Four interior designers were involved in the opulent Andrew Winch interior, which is characterised by Louis XIV and the style of grand hotels. Shortly before taking delivery, the Russian owner had to part with the yacht and its twelve-metre pool. Today she appears in connection with the Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal.

47th Renaissance: Freire delivered the 111.85 metre long "Renaissance" in Vigo in northern Spain in 2023, the technical launch of NB 724 was three years ago. The steel-aluminium hull was welded in Norway according to plans by the Marin Teknikk design office. The interior and exterior design was the responsibility of the British design studio Bannenberg & Rowell, which had a lot to do. On 7200 gross tonnes of interior space, there are 19 suites for 36 guests, who pay Burgess a charter rate of three million euros in the high season. Two pods with integrated electric motors are located in the "Renaissance" stern and feed five main generators. The range is enormous: 8,600 nautical miles at a speed of twelve knots. This year, Freire Shipyards is planning another giga-watercraft (new entry) with the 105 metre long project NB 729

46th Le Grand Bleu: Stefano Pastrovich was commissioned by Claus Kusch to design a large "Senses". First owner John McCaw sold it to Roman Abramovich, who extended the yacht to its current length by adding a bathing platform. In 2006, she went to the Russian-American businessman Eugene Shvidler. "LGB" visited Kieler Woche and Hamburg in 2019 before docking with Damen in Rotterdam for another refit.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
