Custom Line has launched the first Navetta 35. The 34.5-metre yacht was built at the Ferretti Group’s superyacht shipyard in Ancona and was sold this February. It marks the next evolution of the Navetta series, with a focus on natural light and on-board comfort. The exterior design is by Filippo Salvetti, whilst the interior was developed by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel of ACPV Architects. The shipyard describes a structure dominated by large glass surfaces, which places the sea at the heart of life on board. The connection between the interior and exterior areas creates a sense of continuous space. With a beam of 7.7 metres, the layout spans three decks. The silhouette features clean lines and sculptural surfaces that reflect the contemporary exterior design.
Antonio Citterio designed soft volumes, organic geometries and bespoke freestanding furniture for the interiors. ACPV Architects created a light and airy ambience based on the owner’s wishes. The colour palette of ivory, beige and caramel runs through all areas, creating depth, brightness and a sense of lightness. The mix of materials includes vibrant Pietra di Vicenza stone, light-coloured wooden floors and sand-coloured leather for upholstery and detailing. This combination creates a warm atmosphere on board.
The Navetta 35 accommodates up to ten guests in five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is located at the forward end of the main deck and features separate bathrooms for him and her, connected by a central shower. On the lower deck, a private lobby leads to four guest cabins, including a suite with a Pullman berth for additional guests. The layout makes full use of the hull’s width.
Over 300 square metres of indoor and outdoor space are spread across the three decks. The flybridge features a jacuzzi and spacious lounge areas. At the bow, freestanding furniture and a sunset lounge ensure unobstructed panoramic views. The sun deck features an open-air pool with sea views, whilst covered areas provide shade and shelter. At the stern of the main deck, a lounge area flows into the beach club.
A distinctive feature of the exterior design is the notch in the side panel. It reduces the perceived bulk of the bodywork and allows more natural light into the interior. At the same time, it creates a more streamlined profile and a sense of openness. This solution combines aesthetic and functional aspects.
The standard Navetta 35 is powered by two MAN V12 engines, each producing 965 kilowatts. This enables it to reach a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. At an economical 10 knots, the range is 1,750 nautical miles. Two Caterpillar C32 engines, each producing 1,180 kilowatts, are available as an option, increasing the top speed to 16 knots. The second and third vessels in the series have already been sold and are under construction, with delivery scheduled for 2027.
