Extra Yachts presents the X130 Triplex, an almost 40-metre-long aluminium lady whose mezzanine deck opens up new perspectives of the sea. Studio Agon created the exterior design and Laura Brocchini drew the interior.

Extra Yachts is expanding its Triplex line with a new flagship. The X130 is made entirely of aluminium, measures almost 40 metres in length and 8.4 metres in width. Gross tonnage: 397 GT. While Studio Agon drew the soft exterior lines, the construction was done entirely in-house.

Thanks to its impressive width compared to yachts of a similar size, the X130 sets a new volume standard in the segment, especially in the bridge and saloon areas. The Extra Yachts range currently comprises three models (FAST, TRIPLEX and GLOBAL) with lengths from 56 to 145 feet, as well as the 30 metre long catamaran VILLA.

Extra Yachts is part of Palumbo Superyachts - a network that also includes ISA Yachts, Columbus Yachts (launch of Big Naan) and Mondomarine.

On the mezzanine deck

The centrepiece of the X130 Triplex is the mezzanine deck. This semi-open "terrace" not only defines the proportions of the ship, but also opens up new perspectives of the sea. Located just 90 centimetres above the main deck, it offers an unobstructed view aft with an area of 30 square metres. A fireplace separates the two lounge areas.

Directly below the mezzanine is a spacious beach club that seems to float between the sky and the sea. Thanks to fold-down platforms - on the sides and at the stern - up to 60 square metres of floor space are created here just a few centimetres above the surface of the water.

Clever details from Extra Yachts

The external staircases were moved amidships to the starboard side and integrated into the superstructure. This arrangement makes the cockpits appear spacious and well organised - for life on board without visual or architectural barriers.

The bright interiors are the work of Laura Brocchini Design. Here, the finest travertine shimmers between the surrounding mirrored surfaces. The light coming in through the large windows blends with the blue of the sea and transforms the salons into warm and inviting living spaces.

Division of the decks

In the main deck saloon there are two semi-circular sofas and a table for ten people. Further forward are the galley and lobby as well as the owner's suite with office, bathroom and walk-in wardrobe. Alternatively, the owners could spread out over the entire upper deck, with a panoramic suite at the stern.

In addition to the helm station, the captain's cabin and the galley, the upper deck also has a saloon with bar and a cockpit with sofas. On the floor above, guests meet to sunbathe or chill out under the fixed T-top. In addition to a lounge and dining table for ten to twelve people, two sun loungers surround an infinity pool.

The lower floor

On the lower deck there are four double cabins with bathrooms, including two VIPs with double beds and two twin cabins. The crew accommodation offers space for six crew members in three cabins, in addition to the captain's cabin on the upper deck.

The propulsion system of the X130 Triplex is based on two MAN engines with 2,000 hp each, which give the yacht a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
