Project 713: The 60 metres are to generate up to 24 megawatt hours of solar power per year. Feadship laid plantation teak on the decks for the first time
Feadship launched the first superyacht over 50 metres that openly displays its solar panels - but that's not the only special feature

The PV modules, customised in the Netherlands, are designed for optimum performance and durability and are expected to produce up to 24 megawatt hours per year. Project 713 moves a diesel-electric propulsion system. Both the two pods and all other consumers on board receive their power from four generators (HVO-ready) with a total output of 2478 kilowatts and the 400 kWh battery bank. In addition, the 59.50 metre-long De Voogt design is the first new Feadship to have an entire deck made of FSC-certified plantation teak. The fact that the cruising speed corresponds to the maximum speed of 15 knots speaks in favour of an efficient hull form.

Owner of Feadship emphasises reduction of environmental impact

Project 713 was assessed using the Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI), which analyses the expected environmental impact over the entire life cycle. The Solar-Feadship is 35 per cent below the average, making it one of the top yachts in the YETI fleet. The motivation came from the owner, who played a key role in reducing the environmental impact.
