The Dutch shipyard has released images of its superyacht Project 1015, which is just under 80 metres long. After the hull was welded in Amsterdam, the vessel arrived at the Feadship shipyard in Makkum for further outfitting.

A white colossus: Feadship has offered a first glimpse of the 79.9-metre-long steel-aluminium Project 1015, which has arrived in Makkum. Work on fitting out the superstructure began immediately upon arrival. Construction began in 2024. Delivery is scheduled for 2028.

Lots of glass all round

The photographs reveal a vertical bow – and large recesses on the sides to accommodate extensive glazing. Project 1015 joins a long list of various new-build projects at Feadship. These include Project 826, An 80-metre design by Malcolm McKeon. With a floor area of 165 square metres, this yacht will feature the largest beach club the shipyard has ever built.

In early June 2026, the Dutch celebrated the launch of the almost 90-metre-long Project 828, designed by Studio De Voogt and RWD (interior).

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
