The Italian shipyard has launched the first unit of the new Ferretti Yachts 800 at its Cattolica site. The 24.47 by 5.91 metres marks the end of a renewal process for the flybridge range that the brand began in 2018. See also Ferretti Yachts 860.
For regions with special regulations, such as coastal areas off France with a 24 metre limit, there is also a version with a shortened bathing platform.
The Ferretti Yachts 800 is the result of a collaboration between the in-house Strategic Product Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the designers of the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. Designer Filippo Salvetti is responsible for the exterior design, while the Ideaeitalia team conceived the interior design.
The design focussed on the owners' special lifestyle. To achieve this, the creative minds drew up a well thought-out layout and details such as extra-large windows, separate areas for maximum privacy and optimally utilised outdoor spaces.
At the stern of the Ferretti Yachts 800 is a seven square metre beach club, followed by a cockpit with transparent glass railing. In the light-flooded saloon with two-metre-high ceilings, the dining area is directly adjacent to the lounge, while the separate galley is located behind a mobile partition wall.
Crew and guests do not get in each other's way here. Both the galley and steering position are also accessible from the outside. The foredeck with a sunbed and a forward-facing C-shaped sofa forms the end of the upper deck. Guests can sleep on the lower deck, where there are two further cabins in addition to the master and VIP in the foredeck.
The flybridge of the Ferretti Yachts 800 measures 40 square metres. The dining area with table and bench plus integrated storage space is located on the starboard side. A bar on the port side can be optionally combined with stools.
At the stern, guests relax on poufs and sofas, while the helmsmen and women further forward also sit on ergonomic armchairs. The first unit of the Ferretti Yachts 800 is equipped with two 1324 kilowatt MAN V12 engines for a top speed of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots.
