The superyacht offshoot of the Slovenian Greenline shipyard is having the 42-metre model built by SES Yachts. The narrow aluminium construction is designed to run at twelve knots fully electrically.

GX Superyachts is the name of the new brand from the Greenline shipyard. The portfolio includes aluminium constructions from 24 to 56 metres with serial hybrid drive and integrated solar panels. As the Slovenians can only build in composite and up to 24 metres, the first 42-metre GX will be built at SES Yachts in Tuzla. Delivery is planned for summer 2026.

At a speed of six knots, the range is up to 100 nautical miles. In diesel mode at six knots, this should result in a huge range of around 11500 nautical miles. The efficient hull design was created by Francesco Rogantin and the lines were supplied by Marco Casali. There are two versions to choose from: the coupé with hidden sun deck and the RPH version with flybridge. Large lithium batteries are designed to provide 48 hours of rest without generator assistance. The models from GX Superyachts are said to produce 40 per cent less CO2 emissions than conventional yachts.

Available in two versions

The efficient hull design was created by Francesco Rogantin, the exterior lines by Marco Casali. There are two versions to choose from: The coupé with concealed sun deck and the RPH version with flybridge.

The coupé is characterised by a long, curved roof of the superstructure, which is fitted with solar panels. At the touch of a button, these slide apart to reveal a sun deck with whirlpool and bar. The RPH version, on the other hand, comes with a large flybridge and a volume of 353 gross tonnes. Both models also have a huge beach club with folding wings and a hydraulic platform.

Large lithium batteries are designed to provide 48 hours of rest without generator assistance. The models from GX Superyachts are designed to consume less than 40 per cent of the carbon emissions of conventional yachts.

The beginnings of GX Superyachts

At the Monaco Yacht Show in 2018, the idea was born to extend Greenline's commercial and ecological success to the superyacht sector. Prince Albert II of Monaco showed interest in the all-electric 9.99 metre yacht and even requested a trip to the Monaco Yacht Club.
