The champagne bottle burst into a thousand pieces - Heesen Yachts celebrated the launch of construction number 20655. 55 metres long, the Dutch yacht is now called "Solemates".

The new steel yacht previously appeared in the shipyard's portfolio as the "Venus" project, and owner's representative Rupert Connor (Luxury Yachts) is more than happy that his customer has placed another order with Heesen Yachts. "The building process with the Dutch shipyard was once again a pleasure."

"Solemates" is now being commissioned and is preparing for her maiden voyage to the North Sea, where she will undergo rigorous testing. The 55 metres are proof of the owner's clear vision of a very personal ship. The design focussed on creating an inviting family atmosphere - for shared moments at sea.

The interior plays with a blue-green colour palette

The customised interior design is carried out by Heesen Yachts engineers together with Silvia Margutti from Luca Dini Design and Architecture. The aim is to create spaces that perfectly reflect the owner's preferences. Colours such as lime green, blue-green and baby aqua blue are both elegant and family-friendly.

The main staircase is a cool feature, with gold flakes and crystals shining in the acrylic panels. The saloon on the bridge deck is perfect for family gatherings, while the sun deck with its large whirlpool and bar offers the best views of the sea.

Heesen Yachts aims to exceed all expectations

Niels Vaessen, CEO of Heesen Yachts, commented enthusiastically: "The launch of 'Solemates' demonstrates our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and innovative design. We pride ourselves on building yachts that not only fulfil our customers' expectations, but exceed them."

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
