She immediately sent a lifeboat to rescue the crew of five. Fortunately, the passengers, including a German couple with their underage child, had already been brought to safety by a private boat. The family was then brought safely to Port Adriano.
The motor yacht sank, according to reports in the Spanish newspaper "Ultima Hora" completely at around 5 pm. The exact cause of the water ingress is still unclear. The Spanish police have not yet issued a statement.
Video footage from the coastguard shows the boat slowly sinking with the bow sticking out of the water. Fortunately, no one was injured and environmental damage was avoided.
