Itama 54A legend returns

Itama 54: The designers and strategists at Ferretti - the group bought Itama in 2004 - took a cautious approach to the development of the 16.44 metre long and 4.73 metre wide power format.

Itama returns to the 50 to 59-foot open cruiser segment with the 54. The Italians last revised the Itama 62 in 2023, but have not presented a new model for 15 years.

Itama was quiet for a long time. Even though business was going well and deliveries had been constant since the Ferretti Group took over the helm in 2004. Lovers of the classic, originally Marco Casali there have been plenty of Open lines. Most recently, in 2023, the Italians revised the 62 for the 62RSwhich was positioned in the portfolio between the 45RS and the 75-foot flagship. However, a completely new Itama had not been developed from scratch for 15 years.

First new development in 15 years

The designers and strategists of the Ferretti Group approached the 16.44 metre long and 4.73 metre wide project with corresponding caution. Tommaso De Luca's exterior and interior design were true to the line. The Itama 54 remains true to the minimalist style and the typical negative deck projection. At the same time, it delivers aesthetic and functional innovations, such as the elongated but enlarged side glazing or the sunbed cleverly integrated into the foredeck.

Itama 54 with new foredeck access

Unlike her predecessors, the access to the bow area is not in the centre of the windscreen, but on the starboard side - for a more comfortable ascent and the option of leaving the hatch open. The dual cockpit layout with two C-shaped sofas offers space for up to ten people who serve themselves at the wet bar. The standard version is powered by two MAN i6 engines (537 kW each) for a maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. Alternatively, customers can order MAN gensets with 625 kilowatts for a top speed of 37 knots.
