The Overmarine Group launched the seventh unit of the Mangusta Oceano 44 on 25 May 2026. The shipyard handed over the three-decker in steel-aluminium construction to the owners just in time for the summer season. Overmarine, P.L.A.N.A. and designer Alberto Mancini developed the concept together.
The yacht achieves a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of eleven knots. Electric stabilisers work both at sea and at anchor. The floor-to-ceiling glass surfaces create a direct connection between the interior and exterior areas.
The beach area at the stern forms the centre of life on board. As soon as the tailgate is opened and the side terraces are folded out, a 180-degree platform is created right by the sea - as a social meeting point or for jumping into the water. The GranSport 38.
The realisation follows the shipyard's "luxury made personal" philosophy. This approach goes beyond mere customisation and shapes individual concepts for life at sea. The launch in Pisa took place in the presence of the owners, their family, friends, the crew and all the Overmarine Group employees involved. The sale was handled by the brokerage firm Camper & Nicholsons.
The Overmarine Group was founded in 1985 by the Balducci family. Giuseppe Balducci was supported by his children Maurizio and Katia in the 1990s. The third generation is now working in the company. The shipyard initially specialised in fast yachts between 20 and 50 metres in length made of composite materials.
Since 2015, the Group has expanded its range to include displacement vessels made of steel and aluminium as well as semi-displacement vessels made entirely of aluminium. These models measure between 42 and 54 metres in length, and the shipyard has delivered 25 metal ships to date.
Overmarine employs around 200 direct and indirect employees and the production facilities in Viareggio, Massa and Pisa cover a total area of 210,000 square metres. The 100 per cent Italian supply chain covers all phases from design to final outfitting. Subsidiaries in Miami and on the Côte d'Azur as well as dealers in Turkey, Israel and the Balearic Islands ensure a global presence.
