As part of a new concession award for the marina in Valencia, the new operators presented plans for the comprehensive redevelopment of three harbours - with berths for yachts from 8 to 130 metres in length, a refit yard and a dry dock.

Valencia's harbour authority awarded the 35-year concession for marina operations to a joint venture between Semar (Serveis Marítims Port Eivissa) and Ocibar. In the first step, Marina Port Valencia became La Marina de Valencia; in the second step, the three ports not far from the city centre are to be comprehensively redesigned. The Spanish marina is to comprise three areas: Marina Norte, Marina Sur and Marina City. The port facilities will provide berths for small, medium-sized and large yachts from 8 to 130 metres in length.

There are also plans to build a dry dock specialising in the repair and maintenance of boats. The refit facility is to be a replica of the open model of the STP shipyard in Palma. There are also plans to establish a location for repairs and maintenance in Valencia and to offer service stations for various shipyards or suppliers via workshops and premises. The new marina Port Valencia also wants to create offices, shops, restaurants and various leisure facilities. The operators have not announced a timetable for the conversion work.
