Tankoa developed these 70 metres together with Nauta Design, thereby further consolidating its collaboration with major designers. The name "Milano" not only stands for the Italian hometown of the creative studio, but also outlines the aspects that connoisseurs generally associate with the metropolis: Elegance, aesthetics and intelligent design. In other words: the place where creative ideas become concrete projects.
Just like this one, which is 11.80 metres wide and 3.50 metres deep. The propulsion will be diesel-electric, with four CAT generators supplying two 1650-kilowatt electric motors with power and helping to achieve a top speed of 16.5 knots. In accordance with Tankoa's sustainability programme, fuel cells with an output of up to 200 kilowatts will also cover the hotel load. The gensets will be located so deep in the ship's belly that guests will be able to reach the beach club unhindered from their accommodation.
In addition to the four suites on the lower level, two VIP suites have been moved to the main deck. The owners reside on the upper deck and have direct access to the foredeck, which offers enough space for a second pool and a helipad. The fact that the two 9 and 8.5 metre long tenders disappear discreetly into a side garage on the forward main deck is, of course, again for aesthetic reasons.
