Set off on her maiden voyage: The 45-metre yacht "Milele". Ocean Independence has sold the project and now manages one of the most impressive yachts in the size segment

The 45-metre yacht "Milele", sold by Ocean Independence, has embarked on its first voyage. The project was originally known as "Adur". The renamed aluminium motor yacht was designed by Van Oossanen. It is intended to symbolise seaworthiness, speed and range.

The exterior was created in collaboration with OMEGA and the owner and is characterised by clear, clean lines that create a robust and imposing profile. Other details include bulwarks for a clear view, specially designed stainless steel handrails and customised deck furniture. The interior was designed by the duo consisting of the owner and Martin Hanff.

The 45-metre yacht uses Van Oossanen's patented "Fast Displacement Hull Form" (FDHF) in combination with an underwater spoiler ("Hull Vane") to reduce fuel consumption and ship movements by an average of 20 to 25 percent. This should significantly improve comfort on board.

Powered by two 2580 kW MTU diesel engines and two electric booster engines, the "Milele" reaches a top speed of 25.5 knots. Despite its speed, it can be used transatlantically and has a range of 3800 nautical miles. With its purely electric drive, the yacht can also navigate ecologically sensitive areas. "The dynamic positioning system makes it possible to avoid the use of anchors in such places," as the shipyard writes in its press release.

Plenty of entertainment on board the "Milele"

The spacious accommodation on board includes an owner's suite on the main deck and three guest cabins on the lower deck. There are also well-protected lounge areas on the foredeck, on the sun deck or on the bridge of the main deck. Entertainment is provided by a fitness room and a two-person submarine for exploring the underwater world.

Peter Hürzeler, CEO of Ocean Independence, on the delivery of the "Milele":

She is one of the most exciting yachts to be built in recent years. Her style, speed and technical features clearly set her apart from the rest."

The yacht was built by Zucker + Partner from Hamburg, with the experienced Ocean Independence team in charge of operations. The MILELE will celebrate her global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2023.
