With the M8 EVO, Prestige is unveiling a further development of its flagship catamaran. The shipyard has completely redesigned the flybridge deck and revamped the interior layout. The world premiere will take place in September 2026 at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The M8 EVO is the updated version of the model launched in 2024 Prestige M8. Prestige has adapted the 19.98-metre-long catamaran in response to feedback from M8 owners. The changes mainly concern the flybridge deck, the interior layout and the exterior design. With the M8 EVO, the shipyard aims to consolidate its position in the motor catamaran segment.

Exterior design with three changes

Garroni Design has made three changes to the exterior. New windows in the hulls are intended to let more daylight into the cabins, and the black trim on the hull has also been redesigned. The most obvious change concerns the shape of the hardtop above the flybridge deck. According to the manufacturer, these three changes are intended to give the M8 a more harmonious appearance. The basic shape remains the same: the M8 EVO has the sleek silhouette of a monohull motor yacht, but benefits from the advantages of a twin-hull design.

Cat-type design for greater stability

The M8 EVO is based on a catamaran hull designed specifically for motor yachts. The two hulls are intended to provide stability whilst underway and at anchor, and to improve fuel efficiency. Prestige promises less rolling motion than comparable monohulls. The maximum beam is 8.85 metres, and the draught is 1.73 metres. The fuel tank holds 3,700 litres, and the water tank 1,050 litres. The yacht is powered by two MAN engines, each producing 730 PS.

Prestige widens the flybridge

The flybridge deck has been completely redesigned and now spans the entire width of the vessel. The internal staircase leading up to the flybridge has been removed, creating more space on the main deck. Access is now via an external staircase. The rear section of the flybridge has been made more open, and the hardtop supports have been repositioned to improve the view.

Main deck with a new galley layout

Prestige has changed the layout on the main deck. The galley and dining area have been moved to the starboard side and enlarged. They are now situated right next to the helm. A bar separates the cooking area from the living area. The dining area has large windows that let in natural light. The floor is laid as a continuous, step-free surface to ensure a smooth transition to the outside.

Owner’s cabin with separate areas

The owner’s cabin also makes full use of the M8 EVO’s width. The walk-in wardrobe has now been divided into two separate areas. A new work and relaxation area forms the transition between the sleeping area and the bathroom. This layout is designed to offer greater privacy in the cabin. The shipyard describes it as a ‘penthouse atmosphere’ on the water.

The cockpit remains a central feature of the M8 EVO. It forms a large deck at water level. From here, there is direct access to the sea. The design of the cockpit has not been fundamentally altered, as this area already worked well on the M8.

Optional Silent Mode Package

Prestige offers a Silent Mode package as an option. This system allows for longer periods at anchor without the main engines running. Solar panels and optimised energy management are designed to meet the vessel’s power requirements. The package is also intended to reduce noise and vibrations on board.

Prestige uses sustainable materials in its interior fittings: wood from responsibly managed forests, vegetable-tanned leather and environmentally friendly surface treatments.

Interior with modern touches

The interior design is inspired by modernist architecture. Designer Valentina Motta has combined natural colours with dark shades of blue. The materials have been carefully selected: wood, leather and fabric surfaces create a warm atmosphere. The forms are clearly defined. Owners can choose from a range of fit-out options to tailor the yacht to their preferences.

Depending on the specification, the M8 EVO offers four to five guest cabins plus one standard crew cabin. A second crew cabin is available as an option. In total, there is sleeping accommodation for eight to ten guests plus two to four crew members. The yacht is certified for 18 people in CE Category A and for 22 people in Category B.
