BOOTE EXCLUSIV 2/26 January-February
Those who use their yacht intensively discover the most precious form of luxury: the freedom to drift. Two stories in this issue of BOOTE EXCLUSIV show how some boats become the centre of their owners' lives.

Owner Konrad Schnyder himself takes command of the 50-metre Heesen "Cinderella Noel IV". His ship is designed down to the last detail for Nordic waters, winter operation and great autonomy - built according to his precise specifications for long nights, narrow fjords and demanding manoeuvres rather than for the backdrop of the next harbour. Freedom here means: Taking responsibility, setting your own course and speed, understanding systems and consciously making every decision on the bridge. You will find out why the Swiss man prefers to steer his 495-tonner himself.

Tom and Jeannine Schröder, on the other hand, have taken the plunge into a new way of life with their 44-metre explorer "Maverick". They travelled around the world with their family for seven years, penetrating deep into the Greenland ice and turning the yacht into a floating home. They are not looking for spectacle, but for the essentials: time together, space, clarity. Between icebergs, fjords and the open ocean, they discover that true independence lies in reduction - in conscious living on board, in trusting technology, crew and nature. After we have already across the decks of the extravagant Explorer we are now taking you on one of the most exciting stages of last year's journey.

Iconic yachts such as "Octopus", "Dilbar", "Skat", "Flying Fox" and "REV Ocean" are on the list of references of probably the best-known designer in the superyacht world: Espen Øino. The passionate engineer welcomed us to his office in Port Hercule and spoke about his entry into the world of yachting, his youthful enthusiasm and the projects that shaped his career. Very few people realise that the Norwegian, who lives in Monaco, also designs production boats. Read the portrait of the enthusiastic skier and design trendsetter in the latest issue.
