Numarine is building on Hot Lab's experience and has placed the entire interior of its flagship 45XP in the hands of the Italian studio. The result is a 45-metre explorer that cruises the world's oceans mega-casually and elegantly.

Numarine's technical team designed a 45.35 by 9.25 metre hull and projected a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles for the 45XP. Together with the design studio, they decided that the interior did not necessarily have to follow the style of the exterior lines. The philosophy for the Explorer was to create spaces that are warm, inviting and well-proportioned, and that form a visual unit thanks to their colour palette alone.

Numarine 45XP: Living like in a modern beach house

Numarine and Hot Lab present various layout options, starting with the 450-tonner with five suites, the master is of course the largest and comes with a private bow terrace. The lounges are designed to accommodate the interests of all generations, turning the large saloon into a sociable piazza - with separate lounges, a dining area and a cinema corner for teenagers. Soft fabrics, leather and natural oak characterise the ambience in the salons and suites. Hot Lab has opted for a modern beach house style - elegant and extremely casual. The studio worked mainly with walnut, oak, leather and travertine, with organic and geometric design elements.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
